1930's Woodland Santa Candy Container -

This darling little Santa Candy Container is absolutely adorable. It it not your usual Santa dressed in red holding a bag of toys. This is a woodland Santa sitting on a tree stump holding a Christmas tree. He is quite unique. I must say that I have never seen one like this before. The container portion is actually the log. You lift it from the base and Santa is sitting on the candy. How cute is that?

This is on the smaller side. Measuring only 4 1/2" high and the largest part of the base measures 3" across. He won't take up too much space but he certainly makes a a big statement.

His coat is made of a tan wool felt. His beard is fuzzy and full. The tree stump is cardboard covered with papier mache. I don't see any arms, however, his beard is so long, it's hard to tell if there were ever any. He has a black belt that wraps around his waist and has black boots that have "snow" on them. This little man is very detailed.
