Today we are offering this pretty bisque shoulder head girl with a cloth body and composition lower arms. She is all original, with her dark braids of real hair, pretty chiffon and satin 3 piece outfit, sewn on stockings, and black leather shoes. She has no chips, cracks, breaks, however there is a very light hairlines on her forehead. It is approx. 1/2 long and starts and stops in the middle of the forehead. She has a very fine, pale bisque face with bulging brown glass eyes and a slight smile with teeth. She has a tiny beauty mark on her right cheek. I do not know her maker but she is marked on the back of her shoulder with a L 9. From researching in my doll books, she may have been made by Ligue Du Jouet Francais (League of the French Toy). This group was started to employ women in 1914 and they completed dolls with what ever material they had on hand, which would explain the cloth body and bisque head. She has a "mama" cryer in her body but it does not work anymore. She is 16" inches long.
