Not only is a grape a hard to find color – this form is also hard to find! This shape is almost always finished as a pitcher. Check out the controlled bubble pattern in the pictures – I've never seen the technique executed this well! The bubbles graduate in size from top to bottom in a soothing undulating sway pattern. The bottom is ground flat with a ground and polished pontil. The paperweight base in on the yellow side of crystal but not nearly as much as the last 2 pictures show, the first 3 pictures best represent the base, the color of the top is accurate in all the pictures. The condition is excellent; there is one bubble and one blackish inclusion, both of which can be seen in the pictures. There are no chips, cracks or repairs and the vase measures 11 inches tall.
