~ Condition ~
The painting has some wear, such as a chip in the top right corner, some wear to the body and a crack to the bottom right along the line of the case. The case is worn, with some damage to the back and general surface/age damage such as scratching. The velvet inside is fairly worn, having lost some of it's original colour.
~ Cutty Sark ~
The Cutty Sark is a clipper ship. Built in 1869 for the Jock Willis shipping line, she was one of the last tea clippers to be built and one of the fastest, coming at the end of a long period of design development which halted as sailing ships gave way to steam propulsion. Badly damaged by fire on 21 May 2007 while undergoing conservation, the vessel has been restored and reopened to the public on 25th April 2012.
