Merchant Navy Third Officers Jacket

A vintage merchant navy third officers jacket, the jacket is in black with gold braiding to the cuffs, the double breasted jacket has eight buttons with a crown and anchor to the center of each.

~ Dimensions ~

The jacket has no sizing information. It measures approximately 18 inches (46cm) from armpit to armpit, 30 inches (76cm) from collar to hem, with the sleeves measuring 24 inches (61cm) long.

~ Condition ~

The jacket is in good vintage condition. There is some light wear to the wool around the collar but the cloth is overall fine. All of the buttons are original and secure. The gold braiding around the cuffs is showing minimal wear.

There are some small areas of loose stitching in the lining, one to the inside of the vent and one to the sleeve seam. There is a small hole approximately 1cm long to the left upper arm this would be easily darned.
