Vintage Ships Wheel From A Chinese Junk #6

This large wooden ships wheel has come from a vintage Chinese Junk and dates to the early half of the 20th century. The wheel is of dark wood with a matt finish. The wheel has steel supports to the main ring and hub. The wheel has eight spokes of turned wood. This rustic piece would look good either indoors or out.

~ Dimensions ~

This piece has a diameter of 44 inches (112cm) The central hub measures 7 inches (18cm) in diameter. This wheel weighs 19.81kg.

~ Condition ~

The wheel is in overall good used condition. The piece has weathered as expected with wear to the finish but the wood remains solid. There is a crack approximately 6 inches long to the inside edge of the wheel. The crack goes with the wood grain so it is likely to be damage caused by wood shrinkage over the years.
