~ The Bronze Ships Bell From The Ferry Tor Hollandia ~

This is a large, heavy bronze bell with its original clapper and later chain. The bell is inscribed to the front in Gothic letters 'Hollandia'.

~ Tor Hollandia ~

Run by Tor Lines, the ferry Tor Hollandia was built in 1967. She sailed on the Immingham to Amsterdam and Gothenburg route. She was sold in 1976 to the Minoan Lines as the Ariadne and was in service up till 1999.

~ Dimensions ~

The bell is 13 inches high (33cm) high. The mouth is 9 inches (23cm) in diameter with the shoulders measuring approximately 6 inches (15cm) in diameter. The clapper is 7 inches (18cm) long. The total weight is 9.6 kg.

~ Condition ~

The bell is in good vintage condition. The clapper has rusted but is intact.
