A very large woven curtain panel and pelmet designed by Charles Voysey of the English Arts and Crafts movement . born 1857 and died 1941, know for his wall paper and textile designs. The curtain has a large decorative woven panel and then a border at the top, the pelmet has the design running right along the pelmet . The curtain is a heavy silk woven textile and would remake into a hanging or into pillows especially the small pelmet panel However this is a prime example of the Arts and Crafts Movement and is very collectable the fabric is best described as a pale taupe gold with the blue woven detailing , the large curtain panel has 47 inches of woven decorative design , the whole panel measures 108 inches in length by 43 inch width . The small pelmet piece measures 80 inches by 13 inches Condition . The main body of the large panel is in very good condition , but there is some deterioration at the edges , this is right on the edge where the fabric has been turned back , the pelmet is joined centrally and is in good condition . a lovely old textile and it might benefit from refreshing with cleaning but there are no marks.
