Vintage Mexican Pitcher with Engraved Forest Scene

This whimsical piece with a drawn forest scene with grass, bushes, cacti, rabbits and a deer. It has green on the rim and handle. There is plenty of attention to detail with the colors and style. It is in good shape with no cracks or crazing. There are small chips in the glaze on the lip and base of the handle. The background looks to be pressed with burlap to give it a cross hatch design. It stands at 4 inches with a 2 1/2 inch mouth, 2 1/2 inches at its center and a 4 inch base. The pitcher was purchased in the mid to late 1940s. An inventory card with the history of this item will be included.
