Pair of Vintage Cobalt and White Cased Glass Vases with Hand Painted Enameling

These a a pair of late 19th or early 20th Century vases. They are cased glass, cobalt blue cased over white glass. They are hand decorated in white and caramel enameling with a floral motif. They are also lightly gilded at the top of each vase. They are a bulbous form tapering upward to cylinders. They are continental in origin.

Measurements are: height, 9 1/4 inches; diameter, approximately 7 inches.

Condition is: very good with minor wear to gilding at rims.

These are a hard to find pair of vases in the always popular cobalt blue glass. They are enhanced by the fact that they are cased glass and that they have handsome enamel decoration. They are a natural pair and would be perfect for display in a white room, particularly one dominated by summer wicker furniture. If you have questions please call or email.
