A Set of Hand Painted Richard Klemm Dresden Porcelain Plates
This is a set of 7 porcelain dessert plates that were made by Richard Klemm, the Dresden (Meissen) porcelain Maker. The plates are approximately 6 3/16 inches in diameter. They have a matching gold lattice decoration around the outer edge. The center of each plate has a different hand painted floral decoration. They were made between 1890 and 1920 (some references attribute them more specifically to 1890-1907). The quality is superb. Each plate is marked with a blue stamped signature (see photo) as well as an impressed underglaze mark
(the crown, etc.). They are marked "Dresden Germany".
Condition is excellent. Please note: check the individual photographs. Our light in the group photograph made it appear that some of the plates do not match the others in background white. They do all match.
Measurements are: diameter, 6 3/16 inches.
This is a nice group if you are intending to decorate with it, or use it, or fill out a set.
