This is an intricately hand painted Chinese export porcelain cup and saucer in the Mandarin pattern. It dates from the period between 1835 and 1850. Both the cup and saucer show female figures involved in home life. The palette is typical of this period and the brushwork and draftsmanship is superior.
The cup and saucer are typical size. They measurements are: saucer diameter, 4 5/8 inches; cup diameter to handle,3 5/8 inches; height cup, 2 1/2 inches.
Condition is very good with no noticeable flaws.
