A Pair of Renaissance Revival Architectural Cast Brass Interior Shelf Brackets

These are a fabulous pair of large 19th Century Renaissance Revival cast brass interior shelf brackets. The casting is very high quality and sharp. The different components of each bracket were cast separately then brazed together as was the practice during that period. They have 4 original holes in each back plate for screws for mounting. The previous owners used the brackets to support a plate glass shelf that held ceramics and glassware.

Measurements are: length, 14 1/2 inches; depth, 11 3/4 inches; width of back plate, 7 3/4 inches.

Condition is excellent.

These are a rare find since they are large scale old shelf brackets cast in brass (rather than iron). They are ready for immediate use and are appropriate for either a formal setting or a sun room.
