2 Staffordshire Purple Mulberry Ironstone Plates, Botanicals
These 2 beautiful plates are from the mid 1800's, ironstone and made in Staffordshire from my research. They are in 2 sizes, 9.75" and 8.75" and feature beautiful botanical trumpet like flowers, perhaps lilies. They in excellent antique condition save one chip on the bottom where they often occur on the rest, and 2 tiny nicks on the rim of the large plate, see last pic. The plates have deep wells and fluted edges and are quite heavy.
