This precious chemise came from a Vermont estate dating way back, this being around late 1800's or earlier. The fabric is a wonderful kind of waffle cloth in a cream color. There are several rows of tucks around the hem, and a very pretty crocheted edge. At the top there is a darling trim of Irish crochet.
As to condition: There 2 small holes, one that falls into a fold the other on the hem in the front. There were some tears that have some stitches on the bodice and the he Irish lace covers them nicely. A few areas of discolor toward the bottom. The chemise is charming on my bisque pretty girl. The measurements are as follow: 5" flat on the bodice, 19: from the top of the strap to the hem.
