These wonderful black americana jointed tiny dolls came from the Moorcroft -Willey Vermont estate of 7 generations just dispersed by its heirs. They had wonderful dolls and linens many of which I am currently listing. These twin girls are just 4" tall which would be perfect for dollhouse as well as a valuable addition to your collection. These may be German as many were but I do not see any markings. They wear their original matching printed muslin shifts, one faded on its front but I like the discrepancy. While they are in wonderful antique condition, the one standing appears to have had her legs fixed to their joints. Perhaps they wanted her to stay standing up and glued them. I didn't want to force them to move but I think if they were soaked for awhile they may loosen up. They look equally adorable with their clothes off as their bodies are nicely molded. They have beautiful tiny faces with brown glass eyes. Not sure why but one of the dolls has sticks inside which can be seen from the top of her open pate. Not only are these adorable but so special to have the two of them in their twin dresses. THIS WILL BE THE FINAL REDUCTION AND AFTER CHRISTMAS WILL BE REMOVED TO MY OWN COLLECTION. Thank!
