There are times when words like `pastes' can be more of an anchor than a label, and this is one of those cases. This piece is so beautiful, the red cabochons so vivid, so alive in the light, and such a perfect ruby red, that it goes beyond labels. For paste lovers, this is the best, the type of piece we all dream about coming across, with its original design and flawless execution. For non-paste enthusiasts, it's simply beautiful, full stop. Dating back to the Art Deco period, this piece is timeless, a cliché, but in this case true, phrase.
Condition: Measures just under 7" long and 7/16" at its widest, rhodium-plate setting, all stones are pastes. All stones are, to the best of my knowledge and examination, original to the piece and tightly set. The metal has lost some plating, but it's only noticeable under close examination, as it's mostly on inner edges of metal that don't reflect the light.
