The covered dish is from the British Scenery Series. Maker or potter is unknown. The uncovered dish depicts a church, figures, cows, water, shrubs and florals. It is very picturesque. The lid has a large dark blue finial and depicts scenery which include stags, lambs, a figure on the bridge over the water and homes and buildings in the background. The florals and shrubs are the same as the one in the bowl itself. Circa 1830's. It measures 9" square on the bowl, and almost 6" high with the lid on it. The covered dish is in excellent condition.
