For your consideration wonderful antique English sterling silver gravy or sauce ladle, which was crafted by William Champion of London in 1778. It has the King George III duty mark used from 1786 ti 1821. The ladle measures 7 1/8" long, the bowl is 2 1/2" wide. It weighs approximately 2 ounces. The handle is engraved with a fine script monogram. It is in extremely nice condition considering it is 236 years old. There are no breaks, gouges, warping or deep scratches although, for accuracy sake we must point out that there are a very few very minor scratches consistent with use and age. This is a lovely example of English Georgian silversmithing and would grace any table.
