From "Grandma's Prayer" by Eugene Field. "I pray that, risen from the dead,/I may in glory stand--/A crown, perhaps, upon my head,/But a needle in my hand."
This darling sewing basket was once held in a loving Grandma's hands. It is a wonderful remembrance from our past. The basket is made of wicker with bamboo edging and legs. At one time the legs were painted with delightful flowers...you can still some of the floral design. The sewing basket with lid on is 7 1/4 (from handle to bottom of the legs) with an outside rim diameter of 10 3/4". It is in pretty good condition with exception of some wicker loss on the cover (see photos) and some paint loss.
