Early 1900's Silver Plated Spoon Rack with Six Souvenir Spoons/Forks Echternach, Luxemburg
This is an adorable spoon rack! The size is only 6" in length and the height at its tallest point (the center) is 2 1/2". The souvenir spoons and forks are of Echternach, Luxemburg. The pieces are as follows: 1 spoon, 1 fork the Basilica, 2 spoons Echternach's Coat of Arms, 1 spoon and 1 fork the Hotel De Ville. The size of the spoons and forks range from 4 1/2" to 5". Three of the backstamps are signed Lelecta made in Holland, two backstamps are signed Nieuwpoort ALP (Which is in Belgium). One spoon has only markings (the center mark looks like the Coat of Arms for Nieuwpoort).
Echternach is a canton of Luxemburg and rich with history. A fun place to read about and probably is even more fun to visit.
This is a darling unique little treasure from the past!
