A beautifully illustrated vintage 1947 edition of Little Women, the classic by Louisa May Alcott. Part of a series by Grosset & Dunlap, the book is lavishly illustrated by Louis Jambor. Four-color illustrations appear on the end papers and in 9 plates scattered through the book. There are also a large number of black and white illustrations throughout. The cover has a pretty illustration of women in red on a cream background, with a brown spine that shows all the little women.

Little Women, first published in 1868 and 1869, is the classic tale of the four March sisters, Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth. This would be a wonderful copy for a child or for anyone who remembers and loves this book.

This book is in excellent vintage condition, with original dust cover that is in very good vintage condition. The binding is very tight, and doesn't even look as though it has been read at all. Which is sad in my opinion.
