Vintage red CELLULOID-AGALIN Art Deco BRUSH set 2 pieces
Very elegant vintage set of 2 brushes in cranberry Celluloid. Gorgeous modernist shape, marked on handle "LA PARFAITE - Trade Mark - Agalin". Agalin was a Celluloid material produced in England during the 30's period. Much harder than regular Celluloid, Agalin is often mistaken for Bakelite, as its colors are very deep and intense like the Bakelite colors. Wonderful carved and painted Art Deco design on each brush, with monogram "MOC", black and gold tones. The brushes are in excellent vintage condition, hardly no traces of use, minor miss of paint on design (check pics).
Dimensions : long brush = 12" 3/16 x 1" 3/4 x 1" 9/16 (31,0 x 4,5 x 4,0 cm) - large brush = 10" 5/8 x 2" 15/16 x 1" 3/8 (27,0 x 7,5 x 3,5 cm).
Condition : In excellent vintage condition, no chip, no crack, no traces of dryness, a few minor miss of paint.
Period : Circa 1930's, English origin.
