This diminutive cast iron pot with lid and bail is marked `Wagner Ware Sidney' and "-O-" (for Sidney, Ohio.) Also on the base is the model number "1364." The lid is marked "HOT POT" and has both a tab handle and a protrusion on the rim to cover the pouring spout on the pot itself. This is the smaller version of two sizes, measuring 3½" in diameter at the top rim and 2" in height. It is a heavy little piece at 1 lb. 2.8 oz. There are a few marks and a very small amount of rust on the inside which can be cleaned easily. Overall, it is in very good condition.
These little lidded pots have been variously described as salesman's samples, toy cookware, and stovetop butter warmers. They are hard to find and desirable by collectors of cast iron, miniatures, and kitchenalia. What will you use it for?
