Hall teapot collectors will recognize this Lipton's Tea green advertising teapot as the rarest of the six colors produced in the French shape by Hall China for the Lipton Tea Company. Here we have the Green six-cup teapot without filter holes and embossed in the base under glaze with LIPTON'S TEA in block letters. It weighs 1 lb 9.6 oz, stands 6" tall and measures 8¾" from spout to handle. It is in excellent condition.
The Hall China Company manufactured the Lipton's Tea line of teapots, sugar bowls and creamers as a promotional item beginning in 1935, in yellow, blue, warm yellow, green, black and maroon. All colors have matching sugars and creamers except maroon. Teapots are in the French shape and the creamer and sugar are in Hall's Boston shape. Teapots with strainer holes are earlier than those without. We have all colors in stock. Please ask if you have a specific color in mind and we will try to accommodate.
