Look at this Mackintosh's Toffee Tin from early 1900s. On the lid and side is the text: "Mackintosh's 'Quality Street' [REGD] A delicious assortment of toffees and chocolates". The painted metal graphics depict street scenes and a gloved and bonnetted woman offering a mustachioed soldier his selection from a full tin of treats. Within the tin remains the original crepe lining paper and one toffee band wrapper - an unexpected bonus! The condition is fair - a bit of rust around the rim; discolored tape near the top; a few very small chips to the graphics. The tin is true to round and has no major dents. It measures 5" in diameter and stands about 3¼" high. "Made in England by John Mackintosh & Sons Ltd. Halifax, England."
