Simon the Cellarer here stands 3-1/4 inches at the highest point on the spout and is approximately 4 inches across. The handle is formed by his keys to the cellar. This piece bears no name or model number but I believe it to be D5616, first issued in 1936 and discontinued in 1960. It bears an early version of the Royal Doulton newer standard mark. The capital letter "A" to the left of the mark indicates this is a vintage piece, likely manufactured the late 1930s or early 1940s. It is in excellent condition with no visible crazing.
