This graceful Art Nouveau Lambeth Pottery vase has an ovoid tube form body with a turned in rim and mottled glaze of blues, grays and purples. Front and back are decorated with a butterfly or moth and foliage motif of raised edge elements filled with greens, blue and purples. The base bears the standard impressed lion mark without crown which was used from 1922-1956. This piece probably dates from the mid- to late-1920s. It also has the incised series number 8725, a lowercase "r" and the incised monogram of Minnie Webb. It stands 6" high and is in excellent condition.
