Goebel Madonna and Child HX 249/A Full Bee TMK-2
Serene and graceful, this Goebel Sitting Madonna and Child measures approximately 4-3/4" in height and 3-1/2" in diameter at the base. The piece is marked with an early Goebel TMK-2 Stamped Full Bee and "Germany," dating it to early in the 1940-1958 period. The incised model number, HX 249/A, is partially obscured under the glaze. Some crazing is evident but not extensive, and a minute chip exists on the toe. Both areas are pictured. In all, this is a lovely piece.
I believe this piece was Goebel Sacrart but it lacks the foil Sacrart label.
