Hotchkiss & Schreuder Bright Cut Coin Silver Sugar Spoon ca 1857-1864

This fine bright cut, twist handle coin silver sugar spoon is engraved `Aug. 14th 1867' on the handle back within a wriggle-work border. It is marked for Hotchkiss & Schreuder, 1857 to 1864. The lobed bowl and is decorated just at the stem, and the handle is engraved with `Cordelia' in the elongated shield cartouche. The spoon measures a wisp shy of 6½" and weighs 0.8 ounce (22 grams). It is in excellent condition.
