D.C. Jaccard & Co. operated in Saint Louis, Missouri, 1864-1873. Here we offer a remarkable antique American coin silver set, incomplete, consisting of four forks and six spoons, all in excellent condition. The pattern is unknown to us but can be described as threaded with a modified fiddle or violin handle, small shoulders, and a bit of decoration on the reverse, at the terminal and heel. The handles are all monogrammed "Bushnell" in a lovely simple script. All pieces are stamped "D.C. JACCARD & CO" and "COIN". The forks are 7" in length and the spoons measure 5-15/16". The total weights are as follows: Spoons – 116 grams (4.1 ounces); Forks – 134 grams (4.8 ounces). Combined: 252 grams (8.9 ounces).
