Antique American Coin Silver FORK Threaded Fiddle 1840s

This graceful antique American coin silver Fiddle Thread fork bears pseudo hallmark Star/Lion/D. The name stamped on the back of the stem, "D.G. LEONARD", was the retailer where the spoons were sold. Leonard worked in Newburgh, New York circa 1841-1847. This salad or youth fork is fairly small at 6" in length and weighs 0.7 ounces (20 grams.) The thread appears on front and back. The handle is monogrammed in old script, "AI" or "AP". This is a lovely fork in very good condition, with slight use marks commensurate with age.

Item ID: HS-120
