6 Duncan & Miller Sandwich Pattern 4 oz Juice Glasses
The Duncan & Miller Company produced much of the fine hand-made Sandwich pattern glassware that is familiar to today's collectors. This popular pattern was produced from the 1920's until 1955 when Duncan & Miller Co closed. The concept for the Sandwich pattern came from the glassware produced near Sandwich, Massachusetts, between the 1820s and the 1880s. Basically these patterns involved a flower and scroll motif. The sandwich pattern was a long-running staple of Duncan & Miller and was made in a full table service plus fascinating incidental pieces such as baskets and epergnes. To identify Duncan's glass, look where the scrolls come together. If there is a horizontal diamond connecting the scrolls, it is Duncan's Sandwich pattern glass.
* 2 3/8" across top * 1 ¾" across bottom * 3 3/8" tall * No chips, scratches or cracks that I could find * Occasional imperfection from production as seen in older glass * Glass is clear – perhaps as clear as the day it was made
