Wonderful old mid-century vintage apron, it looks hand sewn, before the day of zig zag machines - instead pinking shears were used. It is made with cotton chintz: tiny pink buds with green & teal leaves & a black background. Two pockets sewn in a unique way - not your average patch pocket, accented with pink at the top. Waistband is a matching pink, ties are chintz. It has been used & you can see some faint stains on the waistband but the chintz is hiding any stains that might be there on the rest of the apron. There is a tiny hole (see photo) which can not be seen from the outside. It has been mended where the ties meet the waistband, I have included photos so you can see how the mending is barely visible.
This is an apron which could be worn by today's average woman - it fits my mannequin well & her waist measures 34 1/2". Obviously, it could fit a much smaller waist also. The waistband measures 21 1/2", the ties each measure 31". It is about 21" long & the bottom edge measures 60" so it is nice and full. The skirt is sewn with 5 different panels to accommodate the pockets which are built into the panels on both sides of the center panel, see photos of the inside which I have included.
