Vintage Weimar Germany Handpainted Porcelain Creamer. Delicate fine porcelain china, with beautiful handpainted violets in shades of purple and lavender and the stems are done in a soft, grassy brown-green -- all so lovely against the stark white, hard paste porcelain body. There are ornate patterns impressed in the porcelain top and bottom. The creamer handle is very ornate with a rather pointed shape. The creamer is footed. The handle and the footing have gold gilding, which is in good shape.
The creamer stands 7" tall and is 5 1/4" across including handle. It is in very good condition with no cracks, hairlines or crazing and no repairs. The creamer is marked in green on the bottom and is a green and white shield with WEIMAR in a banner across the shield and Germany under the shield. The Weimar, Germany shield mark which belongs to C. & E. Carstens Porcelain Manufactory (Blankenhain, Thuringia, Germany [E. Germany]) and dates from 1918-1945.
