1920's Nelson McCoy Small Jardiniere in Matte Brown and Green Blended Glaze
1926 Nelson McCoy Sanitary Stoneware Company Art Pottery Jardiniere in Matte Brown and Green Blended Glaze. The jardiniere, clearly looks and feels McCoy, and although unmarked, it is referenced and photographed in Huxford's McCoy Pottery Collector's Encyclopedia. The Matte Brown and Green Blended Glaze is beautiful. There is a leaf and berry design in front and back emerging from three ridges that surround the top. The leaf and berry design is in green and blends to the rest of the rust brown jardiniere. The matte glaze adds an additional beauty. The jardiniere measures 6" high and 5" across the top opening, 4 1/2" across the base and about 7" at its widest point. The jardiniere is in MINT condition: there are no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. There are 4 tiny pin sized pricks on one side occurring during the glazing process. Truly beautiful.
