Large Silver Fish, Chinese Articulated 3" Long Cloisonne Carp, Rare Black Enamel and Solid Silver

In China, the carp symbolizes perseverance, ambition and advancement. This Chinese silver and enamel articulated fish is a vibrant and colorful work of art. It is expertly crafted and the detail is impressive. It is black which is an uncommon color for these fish. But it's beautiful and unique. The fins move back and forth and the individual sections of scales enable it to "wiggle". The enamel cloisonne is in excellent condition with no chips. It measures 3", which is large for these type of fish. It has delicate silver chains that come off the top fin so that that it can be hung or displayed. It acid tested bright crimson which indicates high purity of silver, of 925 or better. I also have one listed that is the same except blue. Either would make an wonderful addition to a collection or a delightful gift.
