For your consideration, an amazing Polychrome Transferware Ironstone Jug/Ewer in the sought after Harlequin pattern. Produced by Elsmore & Foster, Turnstill, England c. 1853-1871. Measuring a large 10 1/2″ high X 9 1/2″ from handle to spout. Showing crisp black transfers with brightly colored painting on the outer sides & red lining to the rim & handle. Featuring animals, humorous vignettes & of course the Harlequin figures. There has been professional restoration to the rim & repainting of the red lining on the rim. Extremely well done, no other issues. A hard to find piece for the discerning collector.
