Vintage Sterling Silver and Abalone Statement Ring

A stunning ring with an amazing piece of abalone...smooth and lustrous, I've never seen another quite like it.

The abalone measures 7/8"(24mm) by 3/4"(18mm).

Bezel set it stands 8mm off of the band.

The band is wide measuring 10mm.

This ring is marked "Sterling" and "TD" I have tracked the hallmark down to the Native American Silversmith (possibly Navajo), Tom David, but there is very little information on him after that...and I have only been able to find a few of his designs.

I'm dating this piece to the 1970s/1980s based on information gathered.
