Vintage Mitterteich Bavarian Porcelain Fruit Plates - Set of 6

Vintage Mitterteich Bavarian Porcelain Fruit Plates - Set of 6

These gorgeous fruit plates are the perfect addition to your autumn tablescape. Each combines a selection of fruit to include; Pears and Cherries - Pears, Blueberries and Figs - Peaches and Blackberries - Apples and Plums - Apples and Strawberries - Pineapple, Blueberries and Grapes. Gilt trimmed with amazing color in the design.

Each plate measures 7 3/4" in diameter.

Ludwig Linder founded the first porcelain factory in Mitterteich, Bavaria in 1867. Over the years the factory employed more than 300 workers with porcelain decorator, Julius Muller heading up the designs. The backstamp to these plates was used from 1920 on (please see last pics at left)...as these are pieces obtained from a friend's estate, I am dating them to the 1940's.
