This auction is for a hard to find pair of 1929 SCOTTIE DOG cast iron bookends. They were made in Rocky Hill Connecticut by the CONNECTICUT FOUNDRY. The Connecticut Foundry produced a line of sand cast metal bookends during the 20's and 30's. This pair of ART DECO bookends are in good condition. Each of the bookends measures approximately 5-3/4" x 2" x 5-3/8" tall. The back of each bookend has the impressed Connecticut Foundry trademark including the word "SCOTTY". I also have a great pair of Connecticut Foundry Egyptian Camel bookends in my shop and would be happy to combine these or other metalware items to save on shipping costs.
