Offering this fine little solid walnut box. It is in a kidney shape with fine hand carving around the top and two columns down the front and the back. If you examine the picture of the inside you can see it is hand hued. The monogram is JCH. Suburb craftsmanship. I think it dates to the late 1800's. The only thing not original is the little hinge.You would have to hold it to see what a talented craftsman can do. It measures 4.25" tall by 6.75" long and 4" front to back (across the the largest part of the base.)
