Early Wooden folk art dancing man toy

Wooden dancing folk art man. This wonderful early folk art toy appears hand carved. He would have been on the end of a LONG stick to facilitate making him dance and wiggle and leap and turn on your knee... but the stick has snapped off. He can still dance, though! Wonderful piece of folk art, unknown provenance but from a local estate so quite possibly would have been found in the eastern, french speaking townships of Quebec near the Vermont boarder. Measures 8" long. Ive had him for awhile now.. he needs to move on.I cant guarantee an age on this, but it has the appearance of early 20thC

. Price reflects my lack of knowledge..if I was pricing on charm this thing would be worth a MINT.
