Cool black folk art cloth doll

16" black folk art cloth doll with painted features: faded eyes, mouth and nose. Curly wool hair. Impeccably dressed in red coat and grey pants. Is he a bell hop? A movie usher? Perhaps he once played in a band! His head has a cute curious tilt: maybe he held a violin at one time? I dont know much about this gentleman other than he sure is charming.
