Teddy Bear Game copyright 1906 American printing co fabrics

Very early "Teddy Bear" game, by American Printing Company, Fall River, MASS. "A New and Jolly Game for ALL"! "Ready for Use NO SEWING required" !!! Cloth game has been framed in modern metal frame. The idea is to blindfold players and have them walk up to the game and point with points awarded as marked. You teddy bear collectors know that in the original story of Theodore Roosevelt and the bear hunt, the killing of the wounded young bear was an act of mercy. Im sure thats what we are doing here with this game... teaching our young children to be merciful...right??? Not removed from frame for inspection, but some dirt and perhaps faint pencil marks noted. Game itself is 24x16.5 inches, frame is 28x20.5 inches. LOVE the graphic of the bear. A very cool early item for your bear room.. or perhaps just a great conversation piece for a man cave.
