Oh so hard to find!!! late 19thC to early 20thC velocipede. This is the real deal, not a reproduction. It is English...not French. Gesso over wood, much paint loss and chips but only in a way that testifies to its authenticity and age: I wouldnt change a thing myself. Appears to be the original leather saddle and parts of the original leather bridle and martingale (around the chest). Wisps of original horse hair at mane and stubby tail. Original Glass eyes. Original Iron wheels and pedals...one rod that goes from the wheel mechanism into the horse for stability has come loose. What can I say... all original all old all charming. Meets my test for coolness in a a big way. Listen, I own five real horses and Im telling you this one is way more convenient to have. From Top of head to ground, 27". From front of hoof to back wheel 32 inches. Weighs about 22 lbs. ATTENTION: For sale from my own collection only due to unexpected expenses (associated with the real horses!!!) For this reason, NO LAYAWAY. Shipping wont be cheap...email me to discuss but Im thinking $200!
