Beautiful Pietra Dura brooch depicting an insect on a white ground. The insect is crafted in various brown semi precious stones. The Pietra Dura work is set in a fine silver mounting( acid tested) .The fourteen karat(acid tested) yellow gold closure is of later date. The brooch is in perfect condition and dated at the 19th century. Diameter: 0.8"(20mm)
