Gorgeous JW Ridgway Dessert Service Plate; circa 1820

This is a magnificently colored serving piece from a dessert / tea service made by John and William Ridgway; circa 1820. The pattern is a riot of flowers and leaves; the cobalt and the gilding are thrown in there to push it right over the top. It measures 9.75" by just over 10.5" and is in excellent condition. This pattern, #1289, is shown on page 63 in Geoffrey Godden's "Ridgway Porcelains". You'll be glad to know that we removed the horrible display wires from it since the photo was taken.
