Handpainted Porcelain Inkwell
Offered here is a old inkwell that is handpainted with a round scenic view with fish in water underneath. The lid has flowers over water painted. I don't know the exact reason for this design or the maker. It is not marked. Who ever painted this was obviously talented. The painted front is a little over 1 1/4 inches square. This inkwell stands 2 1/2 inches tall. There is no damage to this inkwell with the exception of a loose cover. It looks as if the original pin in the hinge has been replaced. This allows movement but it is secure. It really is quite a cute little piece all in all. Please see the photos for condition and the uniqueness of this piece. Thanks for looking!
