Set of Six Carte De Visite Cards of Couples
Here we have a set of six carte de visite or CDV cards that feature couples. These cards date from 1854 through to 1870. These cards were most popular during the Civil War era. After the 1870's. the larger cabinet cards became popular. These are albumen photos mounted on board and are smaller versions of cabinet cards with the dimensions of, roughly, 3 7/8 by 2 1/4 inches.
